Tottenham should use Boxing Day as scouting mission for Wilson and King

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will be keeping his tabs on a number of potential attacking  targets ahead of the January transfer window.

With Fernando Llorente’s future in doubt, Spurs will be aiming to bring in a new striker to compete with Harry Kane and add more depth to the attacking department.

And their Boxing Day clash with Bournemouth is the perfect time for Tottenham to go on a scouting mission.

With Callum Wilson and Josh King up front for Bournemouth, Spurs could scout them firsthand.

Wilson ranks among the Premier League’s top scorers with eight goals to his name already this season.

The once-capped England international, who scored on his debut, is the third highest scoring Englishman in the top flight (behind Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling).

The 26-year-old, formerly of Coventry City, is a homegrown player, making him a useful option for Spurs.

And King could also be a shrewd signing as he has consistently proven his talent over the past few seasons.

The Norway international plays as a centre-forward or anywhere in the attacking midfield line and he has scored five goals and picked up two assists this season in 15 league games.

With 30 Premier League goals to his name now, the 26-year-old could test himself by competing for silverware.

Tottenham need to watch Wilson and King closely on Boxing Day ahead of a potential January double swoop.
