Tottenham Hotspur should keep tabs on Angel Di Maria, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The winger is reportedly open to returning to the Premier League, after a a dismal spell with Manchester United in the 2014/15 season.
Di Maria struggled to acclimatise to English football and did little to impress under Louis van Gaal following his huge £59.7 million move from Real Madrid.

He was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2015 after scoring just four goals for United.
The ex-Benfica prospect has fared much better in Ligue 1. Since his move to the Parc des Princes he’s been a regular in the side and won 10 trophies including two league titles.
He undoubtedly has talent, and Tottenham should consider signing him, especially on a free transfer.
Tottenham need depth and Di Maria can provide that
Spurs didn’t make any signings in the summer of 2018, and at the moment their squad is a little light.

In terms of wingers, Mauricio Pochettino only has Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura at his disposal, with Moura sometimes partnering Harry Kane up front and Lamela being deployed centrally.
It can be argued that Pochettino needs another option.
Di Maria may have underwhelmed in England previously, but he’s still a fine player. Clearly, he feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League.

Di Maria was criticised by some for being ‘lazy’ at United, but Pochettino could be the perfect coach for him.
A potential sticking point of any Spurs deal for Di Maria would be the wages. Apparently he would demand £200,000-a-week – although the club would save on a transfer fee.
