Tottenham should try to sign Giovani Lo Celso before Copa America puts him in the shop window

According to various reports, Tottenham Hotspur want Giovani Lo Celso this summer.

Lo Celso has just completed a permanent move from PSG to Real Betis. But Betis could sell him on at a profit if the right offer comes in.

According to The Daily Mail and other media outlets, Spurs could swoop. After two transfer windows without any new signings, Mauricio Pochettino is expected to be busy this summer.

But this Lo Celso deal might be better if it is wrapped up quickly. With other clubs in the hunt and the Copa America coming up, Spurs could face a transfer battle.

The Argentina international is set to join up with the national squad for the Copa America in June. Next month, he will be showcasing his talents in Brazil alongside Lionel Messi and other Argentinian stars.

Lo Celso had an excellent season at Betis, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists in 45 games for the Spanish club. The creative midfield playmaker is now being tipped to star in the South American tournament this summer.
