Tottenham should go all out to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in the summer, as he would be a brilliant addition to the side.
According to the Mirror, the 21-year-old is a primary target for Spurs in the upcoming January window and they failed with a £40million move in the summer.
The report details that the Lyon enforcer could now be valued at around £55million after forcing his way into the France squad and lighting up Ligue 1.
Spurs would have to smash a club record to bring him to North London, but he’s exactly the type of player that Mauricio Pochettino needs in his squad.
The central midfielder has caught the eye for his domestic performances in France, but also stood out as a colossus in a win over Manchester City this campaign in the Champions League group stages.
Man City are reportedly now also eyeing a potential move for him in January and there could be a mad scramble for the highly-rated youngster.
He is a box-to-box midfielder that covers every blade of grass with high defensive work and is technically gifted too on the ball.
Spurs could do with a new combative option in the centre of the park, as Victor Wanyama has struggled to reach his best recently and Belgian ace Mousa Dembele can’t be relied on every week anymore.
Ndombele certainly looks in the mould of Dembele and could be a brilliant long-term replacement eventually in the Spurs midfield.
