A 3-0 victory over Leicester City at the weekend had Tottenham dreaming of European football once more. A win over Crystal Palace in their final game of the campaign and the dream should become a reality.

Spurs will need a favour from Chelsea. They need the Blues to either beat Wolves in the league on the last day, or defeat Arsenal in the FA Cup Final to hand Jose Mourinho’s men a European ticket.

It’s shaping up to be a busy summer for Tottenham. The boss has suggested plenty of times since he took over that his squad is short in several areas across the park.

He will look to rectify that during a shortened summer ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, with the intention of returning to action well stocked.

It will be interesting to see if Mourinho revives any of his potential January deals, with one, in particular, looking interesting.

Wylan Cyprien was a £20 million target from Nice but a move never materialised during the last window.

The 25-year-old typically operates as a defensive midfielder and netted eight goals and registered five assists during 2019/20.

Mourinho has been critical of Tanguy Ndombele since he arrived at the club and if seeks a replacement Cyprien could be perfect.

Newcastle were also interested in the Nice player but for £20 million, Mourinho should definitely consider reviving his interest.

Cyprien has a pass success rate of 87.6 in Ligue 1 last season and makes an average of 62 passes per game (Who Scored).

With Tottenham not in the Champions League next season, Mourinho might need to shop savvy.

The young midfielder might not be the biggest household name but he’d certainly be a useful player for Tottenham’s squad.
