Tottenham are in a brilliant position of still competing in the Premier League and Champions League in February, but there are still areas that need improving for the long-term future.
Mauricio Pochettino is massively overachieving with his current Spurs group and after two successive transfer windows without any signings, he should be granted some new additions in the summer to continue his project.
Spurs could perhaps do with a new right-back if they want to compete for the top prizes, as Kieran Trippier has dropped off since his stunning World Cup last year and Serge Aurier is guilty of inconsistentcy.
The North London club should turn their attention to Real Madrid’s Alvaro Odriozola, who would be an ambitious but incredible target in the summer.

Odriozola only moved to La Liga giants Madrid last summer from Real Sociedad and whether he could be tempted into another move remains to be seen.
But Spurs should consider offering him permanent football for next season, something that he’s not quite getting at the Bernabeu during his first year.
Odriozola is a modern day full-back that is immense going forward and is blessed with lightning pace plus a quality delivery into the box.
The 23-year-old unfortunately finds himself stuck behind Dani Carvajal in the right-back pecking order at Madrid and it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere soon.
He’s still managed to impress in the 17 appearances he’s made this season across all competitions and his quality in the final third is highlighted by his return of eight assists.
Spanish speed machine Odriozola would be an upgrade on the current Spurs options at right-back and should be on their radar.
