Tottenham Hotspur should consider entering the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
The Spain international is reportedly being tracked by some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich (fichajes.net, via Calciomercato).
The star has slowly developed into one of La Liga’s best all-round midfielders in recent years.

Hie debut came back in 2012 at the age of just 17, but his true breakthrough came in the 2014/15 season where he made 35 appearances in all competitions.
He has been a mainstay in the first-team ever since and is an exciting player who could well have a move to another club in him soon.
Although Barcelona are understood to be long-term admirers, Tottenham should be thinking about making him their marquee signing this summer.
Saul would transform their midfield
With Mousa Dembele having departed for China in January, Spurs no longer have a driving force and technician rolled into one.
The Belgian was a unique player who will be very difficult to replace, but Saul could be an option.
The midfielder tends to do everything well and can fulfill a number of different midfield roles.
Still only 24, he could potentially offer the north Londoners his very best years.

There’s also a chance that Christian Eriksen could leave the club this summer, which would make the need even greater for a marquee technician.
The Dane’s contract expires in the summer of 2020 and Real Madrid have been tipped to swoop having allegedly made contact recently over a £100 million move (The Independent).
