Tottenham Hotspur youngster Juan Foyth now features heavily in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans after being frozen out in the early parts of the season.
The young defender did not play until Tottenham’s recent EFL Cup win over West Ham, when he impressed throughout.
His next game came against Wolves and his Premier League debut was a learning curve.
The 20-year-old gave away two penalties but Spurs held on for a 3-2 win.
Pochettino kept faith with the Argentina youth international for Spurs’ next league match with Crystal Palace. And this paid off as Foyth netted the only goal in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Considering Foyth’s rapid rise to the first-team, Tottenham should drop their interest in Phil Jones.

According to a report by The Sun, Tottenham and Arsenal have kept their tabs on Jones with his Manchester United contract running down.
The report adds that Jones is likely to sign an extension rather than move to North London. And this could be a blessing for Tottenham, who look to have found their long-term solution at the back.
In Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, Spurs have had two great servants in central defence.
And in Davinson Sanchez and Foyth, Tottenham have a future centre-back pairing sorted.
Jones, 26, is injury prone and has dipped in and out of form throughout his time at Manchester United.
Spurs should keep the faith with Foyth rather than signing the England international.
