According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to land an attacking playmaker, in case they lose Christian Eriksen this summer. The north London outfit currently have Giovani Lo Celso and Bruno Fernandes at the top of their list of targets.
However, there is a third candidate for this potential vacancy who Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy would be wise to consider. Spanish publication Sport have recently reported that Barcelona are open to letting Philippe Coutinho leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian playmaker is apparently even available on a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer. However, with the funds that would be raised from Eriksen’s departure, Spurs could likely pay off a big chunk of the Brazilian’s transfer fee immediately.
Coutinho has struggled to make an impact since his £142 million switch to the Nou Camp in January 2018. However, the 27-year-old remains a top class player. He has proven his quality in English football before, and would be returning with a point to prove.
Arguably, the 55-cap Brazil international would even be an upgrade on Eriksen at White Hart Lane. Securing his services would be a major coup for Spurs. The opportunity to do this deal looks to be currently on the table. They must act fast to take advantage of this chance.
