Tottenham should consider move for Burnley winger Dwight McNeil

Tottenham’s squad has gone a little stale this season and could do with an injection of some fresh blood to revive it.

Tanguy Ndombele arrived as an exciting option in the summer, while Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are two more newer faces that are yet to make an impact on the squad.

But it seems like manager Mauricio Pochettino is overseeing a slight reshuffle in his squad and needs a few extra additions to help build a new cycle at Spurs.

The North London club have found a lot of success with a strong core of young English talents, with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli central to that during Pochettino’s time in charge so far.

Sessegnon has arrived as a 19-year-old option at left-back that looks a great signing on paper and he will be one to match after finally returning from injury.

Spurs should also look at Burnley’s Dwight McNeil as another rising English talent that could be great for them.

According to the Sun, Manchester United are currently eyeing the Burnley winger and it’s believed he’s valued around £35million.

The 19-year-old has made quite the impact in the top-flight already at Turf Moor and is a regular starter in Sean Dyche’s side already.

He’s a skilful wide player with pace, trickery and an immense work-rate, which is why he’s also represented England up to the Under-21 age group.

McNeil is exactly the sort of talent that would fit Pochettino’s philosophy and add some freshness to the attack.

He’s got so much potential to become a superstar in the future and Spurs should look at hijacking Manchester United’s interest.

The Sun previously reported in the summer that McNeil was a Spurs target and an enquiry was made, but they opted for Leeds United’s Jack Clarke instead.

With Clarke not even getting any minutes out on loan at Leeds, it looks like he won’t be ready for Pochettino’s squad anytime soon and McNeil should be back on the radar.
