Tottenham may reportedly be on the search for a new left-back in the summer and that’s why they should consider Hoffenheim defender Nico Schulz.

According to the Daily Star, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to freshen up his full-back area next season and Danny Rose has admitted the Champions League final against Liverpool could be his farewell.

If the North London club do lose left-back Rose, he will leave a huge gap in the team considering his impressive form this campaign.

According to the Sun, Borussia Dortmund are eyeing Hoffenheim left-back Schulz and it’s understood he has a £25million release clause.

Spurs should hijack the reported interest in the German full-back and place him on their summer radar.

Schulz has been a key player for Hoffenheim this season and has the type of profile that would make him an ideal successor to Rose.

He’s provided an excellent nine assists in just 36 appearances across all competitions this season and loves to bomb forward from full-back.

He is a speed machine that can play as a traditional full-back or a wing-back, something that Pochettino often likes to rotate between at Spurs.

His £25million price tag looks like a potential bargain deal for a Premier League team and Spurs should consider tracking him.
