Tottenham Hotspur appear likely to sell Kieran Trippier this summer.
The England international has been heavily linked with a switch to Napoli, and Il Mattino (covered by The Daily Mail) have claimed that the 28-year-old has even agreed personal terms.
The clubs must now strike a deal over a fee, but it could be unlikely that happens within the next week, with Tottenham involved in the Champions League final and Trippier likely to start in Madrid.
It has previously been reported that Trippier’s wife has been looking at schools in Naples (The Sun) which would suggest a move could be in the offing.
With Spurs looking set to lose their right-back, perhaps the club should be enquiring over the availability of Elseid Hysaj to replace him.
Tottenham should be trying to include the Albanian full-back in any deal that sees Trippier move to Napoli.
Hysaj is one of the best full-backs in Serie A, and would be a big upgrade on Trippier at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The former Empoli youngster offers a good balance of attacking and defensive qualities and could really reinvigorate Spurs’ right flank.
His ability to defend solidly is why Spurs should be looking at him, with Trippier having really struggled in that sense in 2018/19.
