Tottenham Hotspur should consider trying to hijack Paris Saint-Germain’s reported swoop for defender Abdou Diallo.
The French champions are reported by Goal to be closing in on the Frenchman for just €32 million/£29 million.
Apparently Thomas Tuchel has struck a deal with his former club to bring Diallo in on a five-year contract.

Diallo, along with compatriot Dan-Axel Zagadou, is viewed by many as one of Europe’s top young centre-backs at the moment.
The versatile 23-year-old has really caught the eye since moving to Dortmund from Mainz in 2018 with his ball-playing abilities and his competence operating both centrally and as a left full-back.
Tottenham losing Toby Alderweireld is still a possibility this summer, so Spurs should definitely be thinking about a late swoop for Diallo.
TBR’s view
Dortmund appear willing to accept below £30 million for Diallo, which is really surprising given he is contracted until 2023.
They paid €28 million/£25 million for him (ESPN), so they are hardly going to make a profit on him.

Diallo has a very high ceiling, so Spurs should be all over the defender at such a cheap price.
His versatility could see him become a hit in north London, with Spurs able to go with a back three or a pairing.
Certainly, if the club miss out on William Saliba, Mauricio Pochettino should not think twice about attempting a hijack of the reported deal that’s in place with PSG.
