Tottenham Hotspur fans can finally get excited when it comes to the arrival of new players it seems, with a deal for Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski within touching distance now it seems.
Spurs have moved onto the idea of bringing in Kulusevski after being beaten to deals for the likes of Adama Traore and Luis Diaz in the last 72 hours. However, it seems Fabio Paratici might have finally got his man at the third attempt, with Kulusevski set to arrive in London tonight.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano anyway, who has taken to Twitter to offer the very latest update on Kulusevski’s move to Tottenham.
Kulusevski is set to sign for Tottenham with Juve making room in their squad for new additions themselves. They signed Dusan Vlahovic in midweek, a player Spurs had looked at themselves.
Further, Romano has also confirmed that a deal for Rodrigo Bentancur is also close. The deal will be signed tonight, according to the respected journalist.
Tottenham fans, then, can finally breathe easy. It looks like they will at least have some new blood in the team and it will be up to Antonio Conte to make the best of his new additions.
TBR’s View: Relief For Tottenham Fans
And Fabio Paratici, for that matter. The pressure was on the Italian to deliver after a woeful few days and it seems he has indeed got a deal over the line. In fact, it looks like he’s got two done.
This is good news for Conte. He needed new players and while he’s probably not got his very top targets, Kulusevski and Bentancur are good players.
Certainly, the Tottenham side should be better on paper than it was four weeks ago.
