Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on a Leeds United academy talent who has been likened to Kalvin Phillips.
Spurs have a pretty good record in recent years when it comes to young players breaking into the first team and impressing either at N17 or elsewhere.
Harry Kane was obviously the poster boy for Tottenham’s academy, while the likes of Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks have also done well, the latter now shining at Leicester City.
More recently, Spurs have impressed in the youth market, with the likes of Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr becoming established first-teamers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Leeds United academy has produced some top talents in recent years. Elland Road cult hero Phillips went on to join Manchester City, while Archie Gray is now dazzling for the Whites.
Now, according to talkSPORT, Tottenham are looking at Leeds academy midfielder Oliver Pickles after an impressive season at youth level for the Championship side.

The report claims that the 16-year-old is attracting admiring glances from Spurs and Newcastle United after helping Leeds to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
Pickles has apparently been compared to Phillips because of his calmness on the ball and his impressive passing range.
In addition, Leeds insiders reportedly see Pickles as the next Elland Road youngster to be fast-tracked into the Whites’ first team.
Pickles only turned 16 in October but already he’s playing regularly for the Leeds Under-18s, with 20 outings to his name for the team.
