Tottenham Hotspur left it late to bolster their squad on transfer deadline day but ultimately Mauricio Pochettino got his men.
After appearing to miss out on Paulo Dybala it was beginning to look like a bleak window for last season’s Champions League finalists.
Pochettino wasn’t to be denied though. With moments until the deadline he completed deals for Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso who joined from Fulham and Real Betis respectively.

Sessegnon looks an interesting arrival for Tottenham.
At just 19-years-old he looks like a real star of the future and at £25 million (BBC Sport) he represents serious value for money.
Not many players of his age can boast as many first-team appearances and he looks an exciting signing.
The one aspect that looks the most promising about Sessegnon, however, is his versatility.
If anything his arrival might as well represent two new additions. He can play on the left-wing and at left-back and that could make him really useful to Pochettino.

Sessegnon spent last season playing largely as a left-winger but the season previous he excelled in a left-back role.
On the face of things, given his age, the potential to improve and current ability, £25 million looks a snip in today’s market.
Looking at the bigger picture, however, it might just be Sessegnon’s versatility that makes him a real masterful signing by Pochettino.
