According to reports in The Sun, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is unsure whether influential midfielder Dele Alli will be at White Hart Lane when the Premier League starts again.

This comes a day after The Sun exclusively reported that Alli is on the radar of Manchester City this upcoming summer, with Pep Guardiola allegedly making the England star his prime target.

Spurs boss Pochettino has now added fuel to the fire that the 21-year-old could be tempted into a move away from London, in a deal that could set a new world record transfer fee.

Speaking yesterday, the Argentine said: “I cannot guarantee anything in life. The most important thing is to enjoy the present and don’t think about the future.

“In the future we will take the best decisions for the club. After three years you can see how the team is improving every year and all our decisions so far have been good.

“Trust in the club that we will take the best decision to achieve things, to improve next season again. That’s the most important thing.”

Spurs midfielder Alli has been exceptional all season and has played a leading role in Tottenham’s sustained battle with Chelsea for the league title, currently sitting seven points adrift of their London rivals.

One other young homegrown talent that could be making his way out of White Hart Lane this summer is Kyle Walker, with Bayern Munich stepping up their scouting of him according to reports.

German outlet Bild has claimed that Munich’s technical director, Michael Reschke, was at Wembley on Saturday evening to watch the Spurs right-back during their 4-2 semi-final defeat to Chelsea.

With stalwart defender Philipp Lahm retiring at the end of the current season, the German giants are on the look-out for a new right-back and it is believed that Walker is their desired replacement.

With the 26-year-old only earning £70,000-a-week at Tottenham, Bayern have the resources to pay him a far bigger salary than Spurs can afford – and this could tempt Walker over to the Bundesliga.

In better news for Tottenham, Walker’s defensive opposite Danny Rose could be in line for a return to the Spurs starting line-up in time to face fierce rivals Arsenal this weekend.

The Sun reports that Rose has returned to full training this week after being ruled out since the end of January due to damaging the ligaments in his knee during the goalless draw at Sunderland.

Talking about the prospects of Rose’s return, the Spurs boss said:

“It’s so difficult. Next Sunday will be three months since he was injured so we will see.

“Today he started to do some things with the group. We have been careful with him and he is in a good way. We hope he will be available soon. Will he be ready for Arsenal? It’s so difficult to say.

“But the door is not closed and we are flexible.”

This will come as a huge boost for Pochettino as his side gears up for their final six games of the campaign, still in with a solid chance of catching current leaders Chelsea at the top of the table.
