According to fresh reports in the Sun today, it has been said that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will simply ‘not pick up the phone’ should any clubs try and sign star striker Harry Kane this summer.
Sources close to The Sun have claimed that there have been no approaches made for the England international as of yet – just days after the Mirror reported Manchester United’s £100 million plans.
Yet it’s transpired that the North London outfit haven’t received any bids, phone calls or interest from anybody over the 23-year-old.
And the unnamed sources close to White Hart Lane have re-iterated the fact that Levy has absolutely no intention of selling Kane in the near future, not entertaining any potential offers.

Speaking yesterday, they said: “Any club that wants to bid for Harry, we simply won’t even take the call.
“We have not been contacted by anyone but, in the simplest terms possible, Harry Kane is not for sale at any price. We have no interest in selling him or any of our principal players.
“No amount of money would even make Daniel Levy and the board consider their position.”
Kane signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Tottenham just last December to alleviate fears over his long-term future, and he looks set to continue into this contract next season.
Meanwhile, news coming from Spain suggests that Spurs have increased their interest in signing 19-year-old Carles Alena from Barcelona during the transfer window.
The highly-exciting midfielder is yet to sign a new deal at the Nou Camp and, at the low asking price of just £2.6million, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino could take a punt and bring Alena to North London.
AS claim that Tottenham have stolen a march for the young midfielder despite there being interest from teams across Europe, and if they act before July they can avoid paying a raised fee of €12million (£10.5m).
Alena made his first-team debut for Barcelona against relegated side Granada back in April, but if there’s no promise of more first-team action then he could be tempted into leaving the Spanish side.
Finally, Portuguese reports have said that Sporting Lisbon are not yet budging on their £26 million valuation of influential midfielder Adrien Silva this summer.
Record claims that the North London side have already had a bid worth €30million (£17.5m) rejected before the 28-year-old went to the Confederations Cup with Portugal, with it deemed excessively low.
And with his contract – which doesn’t run out until 2021 – having a €45million (£39.5m) release clause inserted in to it, the Portuguese side are reluctant to ask for anything less than £26.5million for now.
Yet it is believed that Tottenham’s interest hasn’t ended with their rejected offer, with it expected that they will return to Sporting once Silva is back from international duty and meet their valuation.
Silva has made 165 appearances for the side since gaining his first ever professional contract with them back in 2007, and has been at the heartbeat of their side for the past decade.
