Chelsea make Rudiger decision, Roberts reacts
The Mirror have claimed in their deadline day blog (Monday, 18:18) that they will not allow Antonio Rudiger to leave the club on loan – with Tottenham Hotspur strongly linked, rivalling AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and others.
Roma were also keen as a move for Manchester United star Chris Smalling on a permanent basis continues to stutter. Tottenham legend Roberts reacted to the news that Spurs would not be signing Rudiger, with a one-word verdict.

Milan Skriniar update
Tottenham have been unable to sign Skriniar from Inter Milan. Throughout, Antonio Conte’s side have wanted a figure in the region of £50million for the Slovakian – while Tottenham have tried to get the player on a cheaper fee.
Now, Football London state that a move for the 25-year-old will not happen before Monday’s 11pm deadline. However, that will not end Tottenham’s interest in the powerhouse and it is believed that the north London club will continue to monitor him.
A potential move in January?
