Tottenham round-up: Erisken swap deal suggested; teen prodigy linked; Bale return?

Real Madrid are providing an incentive

As Real Madrid step up their interest in Christian Eriksen, the Sunday Express claim that they may look to include Gareth bale in any potential offer as part of a swap for the two attacking minded players.

It comes after Santiago Solari’s team crashed to a second Clasico defeat in four days, with Bale booed off by his home fans after an anonymous display for 70 minutes.

15-year-old targeted

Another player who could be on his way to north London is Prince Henry, Bristol City’s 15-year-old sensation who has caught the eye of both Spurs and Liverpool according to The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 61).

They say that his stunning form for the Championship outfit’s under 18s team has attracted scouts from the Premier League duo, who may battle it out to sign the young forward.

Van der Vaart backs Bale return

Rumours of a return to London for Gareth Bale have only been fueled by comments from his former team-mate Rafael Van der Vaart, who told Spanish radio that he believes such a move would benefit the Welshman.

“I am a little surprised at what is happening at Real Madrid with Gareth Bale. Going to succeed in another place? It may be best but I think he wants to stay at Real Madrid and play more. But a team like United or a return to Tottenham could be better for him because people in England are different to those in Spain,” Van der Vaart told Cadena Ser.

The former Ajax man stated that he believes a change of scenery would benefit the forward, who has fallen down the pecking order in Spain and is struggling to regain his form.
