Paratici reportedly wants 'very important' £35m-rated star, Tottenham fans should be buzzing - TBR View
Tottenham have emerged as one of the interested parties in the race to sign Sevilla ace Youssef En-Nesyri. According to Mundo Deportivo, the combative striker could be sold this summer.
The Moroccan striker is a wanted man. West Ham have been credited with interest too and now, Tottenham are joining the race too.
He is thought to be available for around £35 million. The Hammers actually had a bid of £22 million rejected during last season’s January transfer window.
En-Nesyri has been at Sevilla since 2020 when he checked in from Leganes. In 78 appearances for the La Liga outfit, he has scored 30 goals, with 24 coming during 2020/21.
It would seem as though the 24-year-old has a bright future and Tottenham could certainly benefit from having his presence in the squad.
The centre forward will be a wanted man and he’s earned some high praise so far during his career. His current teammate, Fernando heaped praise on him, calling him ‘very important’.
Any player who scores the number of goals he does is bound to be sought-after and he could thrive at Tottenham.
Harry Kane could depart this summer, but even if he doesn’t, it would be ideal for Spurs to sign another striker.
Carlos Vinicius backed up Kane last season but it’s fair to say he flattered to deceive and didn’t really look accustomed to English football.
Tottenham fans should be excited over En-Nesyri
Spurs will hope to have some new arrivals in place in the coming weeks. Nuno Espirito Santo is now in place at the club and he’ll want to stamp his own authority.
En-Nesyri would provide some really good competition for Kane – provided he stays – and he’d be a superb signing.
With West Ham also in the mix, the North Londoners might need to act quickly in order to get him signed.
He could prove to be a useful player. He’s strong in the air, knows where the back of the net is and can also fill in out wide if called upon.
If Tottenham get En-Nesyri their fans could be forgiven for getting a little bit excited by the signing.
