Tottenham are planning another summer raid on Lyon as they eye up transfer supremo Florian Maurice, according to French outlet L’Equipe.
They report that the double appointment of Sylvinho as manager and Juninho as sporting director has lessened Maurice’s influence at Lyon this summer.
That has apparently started to frustrate him, and he had no real say in the signing of Thiago Mendes, which is not an ideal situation for a head of recruitment to be in.
And after Tottenham signed Tanguy Ndombele from the Ligue 1 club this summer, they are plotting a second swoop on Lyon for Maurice to head up their own transfer operations.

Maurice was also instrumental in bringing Ndombele to Lyon in the first place, spotting his talent when he played for lowly Amiens and bringing him to his club last summer.
That deal has of course had a huge financial pay-off for Lyon, and they have pushed themselves up into third position with some shrewd recruitment in recent years.
That’s exactly what Tottenham need as they seek to build on the Ndombele signing and continue recruiting shrewdly in order to realise Mauricio Pochettino’s ambitions of winning trophies in north London.
