Tottenham reportedly set to be offered Paulo Dybala by Juventus in January

Tottenham are set to be given a second chance to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

Dybala is apparently valued at £65 million by the Italian champions, who are looking to clear the decks up front after finding not all of their existing options work alongside megastar Cristiano Ronaldo.

And Tottenham tried to get the Argentine in the summer, but the report says that getting a deal over the line was tricky because of his image rights.

They will apparently get a second bite of the cherry with Dybala yet to start a game for Juve this season, and Manchester United cooling their interest.

TBR’s View – It would be a shock to see Levy splash the cash mid-season but Dybala would be a game-changer

Getting Dybala for £65 million in the current market would represent a good deal for Tottenham and he would take their attacking options to the next level.

That said, it’s unlikely that Daniel Levy would sanction such an eye-watering sum mid-season, especially if Dybala is cup-tied for the Champions League.

And, Dybala needs to be fully committed to the move. He clearly didn’t fancy Manchester United, but playing in the Champions League and under his countryman Mauricio Pochettino should appeal more.

Dybala has all the quality to give Tottenham a lift as a whole and would help them pull away from the top four race and close the gap on the top two.
