Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon.
90min have claimed Spurs are monitoring the Dutchman and could potentially bring him back to England football.
Manchester City are also said to be sniffing.

de Roon left England in 2017 having spent one season in the Premier League with Middlesbrough.
They picked him up for around £8.8 million from Atalanta (mfc.co.uk), but de Roon struggled to make an impact and rejoined the Italian side after Boro went down.
These days, de Roon is a much improved player and is a regular starter under Gian Piero Gasperini.
The 29-year-old has been a key player in Atalanta’s recent rise to becoming an impressive attacking outfit, and it seems he’s caught the eye.

90min say City would not consider a move until the summer, potentially leaving the door open for Spurs to swoop, with Mourinho keen to bring in a new midfielder.
Interestingly, Mourinho previously branded de Roon ‘phenomenal’ following a game in which he starred against Manchester United.
TBR’s View – Unfinished business for de Roon?
90min say that de Roon would be keen on a move back to England.

It seems he perhaps has a bit of unfinished business in the Premier League having experienced relegation last time around.
A move by Spurs would be a bit of a surprise, but Mourinho’s previous comments would suggest a January swoop shouldn’t be completely ruled out.
