Tottenham reportedly closing in on two Atalanta players, a third has been pictured wearing Spurs shirt
Spurs are on the verge of signing Pierluigi Gollini and are reportedly closing in on Cristian Romero too.
Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici has been busy pursuing players to bolster the ranks at N17.
And given the Spurs newcomer’s knowledge of Serie A, it’s not surprising he’s targeting some of the best hidden gems from Italy.
Atalanta have been flying high in recent years, thanks to the great work done by Gian Piero Gasperini.
Luis Muriel is one of several players who has been doing well for the club, registering 45 goals and 12 assists from 89 appearances.
And while he’s not been linked with Tottenham, a picture on his Instagram stories certainly got some fans talking.
Muriel shared an image of himself with two friends on a five-a-side football pitch, wearing a Spurs shirt.
A come-get-me plea to Paratici, a tribute to his teammates who are reportedly joining Spurs, or just trolling fans?
Obviously Tottenham could do with bolstering their ranks up front, whether Harry Kane leaves or not.
And Muriel isn’t a bad shout, considering he grabbed 22 Serie A goals last season and 18 the year before.
Plus, he has been compared to Brazilian legend Ronaldo, one of the greatest centre-forwards of all time.
