Tottenham Hotspur now believe they can complete a transfer deadline day swoop for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to The Times.
Spurs are constantly linked with their former player who departed for the Spanish capital in 2013.
When he checked-in at the Bernabeu he signed for a world record transfer fee of £85 million.

It is reported by The Times that Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has flown out to Spain to discuss a deal with Florentino Perez.
The 30-year-old is paid £500,000-a-week by Real Madrid and that might, naturally, cause a problem for Spurs.
Bale has bagged 105 goals and registered 67 assists for Los Blancos but he has fallen down the pecking order this season.
A couple of niggling injuries have hampered his case for regular football and a move might be ideal for Bale at this stage of his career.
During his previous spell at Tottenham, he scored 56 goals and registered 58 assists.
It does seem as though a deal will still prove difficult, not least due to Zinedine Zidane seemingly quashing the notion.
He told The Mirror: “Gareth is here with us and I am counting on him. I am not contemplating the possibility (of Bale leaving).”
TBR View – Bale is quality but is he really what Spurs need?
Very few would deny the talent of the Welsh forward but is a wide player really what Tottenham need during the current transfer window?

With Harry Kane injured and Steven Bergwijn now signed, Tottenham really need an out and out striker.
Bale doesn’t fit that billing and forking out such a sum of money and fees and wages doesn’t seem to make good business sense.
Tottenham fans loved Bale during his first spell at the club but it does seem a pipedream that he’ll return today.
