Tottenham Hotspur are ready to confirm the signing of Croatian star Ivan Perisic, with an announcement for the winger expected soon.
That’s according to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano anyway, who has taken to Twitter just a short while ago to confirm that Tottenham are indeed ready to announce his arrival. Perisic had been reported as to have been in London over the weekend to complete a medical, and Romano has confirmed there were no issues with that today.
Perisic is set to sign a two-year deal with Spurs as Antonio Conte gets his first big signing of the summer over the line in near record time. On a free transfer, the Croatian will bring experience, quality, and title-winning knowledge to the Tottenham cause next season.

Perisic will likely compete at left wing-back but can also play in a number of other positions. Despite being over the 30 mark, the former Bayern Munich man was seen by Conte as an essential capture. And it seems Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy have done the business for their manager.
TBR’s View: Tottenham Getting Perisic A Sign Of Things To Come
This is just what Tottenham fans wanted to hear, isn’t it? They’ve moved quickly within weeks of the season ending to sign a player with genuine quality at the top end of the game.
Perisic brings everything to the party that Tottenham need. Goals, experience, and an ability to get at and worry defenders like few can do in Europe. He’s got over 100 caps for Croatia, won countless trophies, and knows how Conte works.
In terms of the ideal first summer signing for Tottenham, Ivan Perisic is perfect. It’s a signing that, barring a major injury, should be a guaranteed hit for the club. Fair play, then, to Paratici and Levy on this one.
