Tottenham are reportedly willing to blow AC Milan and Liverpool out of the water as they bid to convince Franck Kessie to put pen to paper on a contract in north London.
Kessie is set to leave Milan after failing to agree to new terms. And with January now here, Kessie is free to negotiate with clubs for a free transfer this summer. Spurs and Liverpool are keen, while Milan have also offered him a fresh contract.

However, according to ESPN, Milan’s offer of around £100k-a-week isn’t enough and Tottenham are ready to go higher with their offer to bring Kessie to England. It’s claimed Daniel Levy is happy to sanction such a contract with Kessie being available on a free transfer.
The Ivorian star has become one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe. His performances in Milan have seen his reputation grow, and his availability on a free is a bonus for clubs interested.
TBR’s View: Tottenham Have To Land Kessie
If Kessie is there to be got, then Tottenham have to do all they can to get him. Sure, the wages will put him among the top earners at the club. But given there is no fee involved, it’s well worth it.
Antonio Conte wants new players. Crucially, he wants players of the right quality and Franck Kessie is certainly a high-calibre midfielder. Capable of goals, putting a tackle in, and carrying the ball, he really does have a bit of everything.
If Tottenham do land him, then they’ll have pulled off quite the coup here.
