Tottenham predicted XI: ‘Maginificent’ ace should come in for Lo Celso as Spurs face crunch Wolves clash

With European football very much in the balance, Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for some better luck as they take on Wolves this weekend.

The Lilywhites were on the end of a brutal dismantling last Saturday as Leeds United tore through the defence and eased to a 3-1 victory over Ryan Mason’s men.

However, with the club sat in seventh place in the Premier League and Arsenal and Everton breathing down their necks, the club can ill-afford any more slip-ups should they want to play in continental competition next term.

Meanwhile, the Midlands outfit are playing for nothing more than league places and money, but, enter the game having won three and lost just one of their last five league games.

In terms of team news, Spurs waved goodbye to Ben Davies, who was confirmed to be out for the remainder of the season after struggling with an ankle problem. But, there prove to be no other fitness issues prior to the clash this Sunday.

Spurs have been shocking at the back under Mason, conceding five goals in just four games. But, the former player has retained Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Sergio Reguilon across his last three games, and is unlikey to make unsettle the backline for such an important game.

Giovani Lo Celso has been in poor form in recent games and doesn’t suit the deep-lying playmaking role after the loss to the Whites. The ‘maginificent’ Tanguy Ndombele should return alongside, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg with the duo having enjoyed solid debut campaigns in north London.

Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son have carried the torch upfront and are essentially undroppable. Meanwhile, Dele Alli and Gareth Bale have returned to form under the 29-year-old coach and should retain their places alongside the duo.

Spurs predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Ndombele, Hojbjerg; Bale, Alli, Son; Kane
