Tottenham predicted lineup against Leicester: Son starts
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to put their midweek defeat behind them and go into the international break in some style when they go up against Leicester City this weekend – and here is our predicted lineup for the game.
Antonio Conte faces a number of key selection decisions. Spurs were poor against Sporting on Tuesday. And with that, he may be tempted to make a number of changes for the clash with the Foxes.
One big decision centres around Son Heung-min and whether the South Korean should get another chance for the game against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Conte has hinted that he would be open to leaving the 30-year-old out. But Richarlison did not make the most of his opportunity against Sporting either. So the Brazilian may be the one to make way for Dejan Kulusevski. The £25 million star surely has to start.
Conte may also keep faith with Emerson Royal. The right-back was also poor in Portugal. But Conte has defended his form and said that he has improved a lot.
He also appears to have concerns about Matt Doherty’s fitness and Djed Spence’s readiness for this level. So Emerson may well keep his place until after the international break at least.
Tottenham predicted lineup against Leicester: Son, Sessegnon and Lenglet start
On the other flank, changes are made. Ivan Perisic was brilliant in midweek. But Ryan Sessegnon may get an opportunity with Conte happy to use either player.
There is also a start for Clement Lenglet, who may have been expecting to start against Sporting. Ben Davies got the chance for the defeat, so Lenglet’s opportunity may come here.
With that in mind, here is our predicted Tottenham lineup for their clash with Leicester…
