Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Conor Gallagher from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
That is according to The Daily Mail, which has reported Chelsea’s stance on the future of Gallagher.
So, what has been reported about Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Conor Gallagher? Let’s take a look.
Tottenham Hotspur linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher
Well, according to The Daily Mail, Chelsea are ready to sell Conor Gallagher in the January transfer window.
Although Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino likes Gallagher and the midfielder has done well for the Blues this season, the club want to sign a striker and are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old to raise funds.

The Daily Mall has noted that if the England international midfielder fails to agree terms on a new contract in the coming weeks, then Chelsea could sell him in January
The report has claimed that “Tottenham would again be interested if Gallagher was available, with Ange Postecoglou’s injury-hit squad in need of reinforcements”. Spurs were heavily linked with the youngster in the summer of 2023.
Tottenham should bid for Gallagher
In my view, Tottenham Hotspur should bid for Conor Gallagher in the January transfer window. If Spurs are keen on the Chelsea star, then I think that they should make an offer.
I know that Gallagher divides opinion. Former Manchester United star Roy Keane noted last week that the midfielder is a “runner” and would not pick him to start for England at the Euro 2024 finals, saying that he is not good enough to play next to Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. Ex-England head coach Sam Allardyce rates him highly.
Gallagher is not perfect and is not the finished article, but we must not forget that he is only 23. He can still improve and get better.
The midfielder has made 114 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored 13 goals and given 10 assists in those games.
