Tottenham now reportedly want to sign 'incredibly quick' £35m full-back likened to Zinchenko

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Federico Dimarco in recent days.

According to CMW, Spurs boss Antonio Conte is keeping a close eye on the Inter Milan wing-back.

The report suggests that the Nerazzurri value Dimarco at around £35million.

Tottenham continue to have issues at wing-back and Conte could well look to bolster his flanks in 2023.

And Dimarco would be a good shout for a Spurs side eager to go up a level and become title challengers.

The 25-year-old has kicked on massively in the last 18 months or so for club and country.

Of his 67 appearances for Inter, 61 of them have come under current head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Dimarco has made 19 outings this term, registering three goals and three assists.

He also made his Italy debut in June this year, and has clocked up seven caps for Gli Azzurri.

“A love for this shirt”

In 2021, Cult of Calcio described Dimarco as an ‘incredibly quick and versatile full-back’.

‘The Italian can be described as a modern day attacking full-back who likes to run up and down the field all game,’ they wrote.

‘The ability to cover the ground at both ends of the pitch for defensive and offensive actions alike is one of the main features of Dimarco’s game.’

Tottenham boss Conte managed him at Inter and praised his professionalism back in November 2019.

He spoke after the Nerazzurri secured a 3-1 victory over Slavia Prague in the Champions League group stages.

“Borja Valero? After the win against Torino I praised him and Dimarco,” Forza Italian Football quoted Conte as saying.

“Even though they haven’t played, they have always shown professionalism and a love for this shirt over the past four months.

“When you train with focus your chances will always come. Borja and Dimarco are examples for this entire group.”

On Twitter, fans have likened Dimarco to Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roberto Carlos.
