Report: 'Extraordinary' Tottenham player included in prestigious awards list, he's into the last 40

Tottenham fans might not have got to see their new signing, Destiny Udogie, just yet but he’s in the running for Tuttosport’s Golden Boy award.

Udogie was among the summer signings landed by Fabio Paratici but for now, the young full-back is staying with Udinese and as things stand, doing very well indeed. Udogie has been among the goals and delivering fine performances in Serie A, something Spurs fans will be delighted with.

And in even more recognition for Udogie’s efforts, he has also been included in the final 40 of the prestigious Golden Boy award given out by Italian publication, Tuttosport.

Described as an ‘extraordinary‘ player, Udogie certainly seems to be living up to expectations and showing everyone just why Spurs signed him. Certainly, if he can produce such performances for Antonio Conte when he does move to London then the Italian will be one happy manager.

Among the other players in the top 40 are Arsenal’s Marquinhos, while Tottenham-linked Josko Gvardiol is one of the more high-profile names included alongside Barcelona’s Pedri.

TBR’s View: Tottenham Signing A Gem In Udogie

As this season ticks along it’s looking more and more like a masterstroke for Spurs in landing Destiny Udogie. He’s looking excellent for Udinese so far and it’s looking a smart move leaving him there.

For Spurs, it’s about making sure they get the best out of their young talent and by allowing Udogie to develop and play regularly over in Serie A, they’re doing just that.

It’s an exciting time to be a Tottenham fan and in Udogie, Spurs appear to have got another fine young player to add to the ranks in 2023.
