Tottenham must target Fulham talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer

Amid Fulham’s disastrous season, the commandeering performances of Aleksandar Mitrovic have provided one of the few bright spots at Craven Cottage.

Mitrovic’s superb strength, passion, and goalscoring record shows the Serbian would excel at a top club — Tottenham Hotspur should swoop for the forward this summer.

Regardless of Fulham’s final league position, Mitrovic will surely be attracting interest from Champions League quality teams after his sterling form over the past year.

Ever since initially joining the Whites in January 2018, the striker has scored for fun and never looked back.

A perfect example of Mitrovic’s strengths occurred against Brighton last Tuesday, when he scored two powerful headers and facilitated the Fulham attack amid a four goal comeback.

For Tottenham, a lack of top-class depth in the centre-forward position has harmed the club in the frequent injury absences of Harry Kane in the past year. Fernando Llorente has underwhelmed when called on to deputise, and with his advanced age, the Spaniard is surely looking at the end of his Spurs career.

Aleksandar Mitrovic would be an ideal solution to Tottenham’s striking conundrum, with the Serbian offering his predatory instincts and aggression to a Spurs side crying out for quality depth to challenge for titles.
