Over the last few days, Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Malcom.

Before his move to Barcelona, Tottenham were chasing Malcom. And now Spurs could reignite their interest in the Barca winger, according to Corriere dello Sport.

And, as per Corriere dello Sport via The Sun, Spurs could pay £50m for Malcom with Barcelona keen to make a profit.

The 21-year-old has not made the desired impact at the Nou Camp since his summer move from Bordeaux.

In fact, he has played less than half an hour of competitive football for the Spanish giants.

So paying £50m for his services is a risky move for Tottenham. But if he does hit the heights expected of him, it could be a gamble worth taking.

To minimise the risks, Mauricio Pochettino’s men should pursue a loan-to-buy arrangement in this deal.

Spurs should try to sign Malcom on an initial loan deal from January until the end of the season with an option to make that move permanent at the end of the season.

This gives Spurs some insurance. If he fails to impress in England, they can leave the deal alone without having to pay a hefty price tag for him.

But if he impresses, Tottenham would have first refusal on a player that they know would improve their first-team for the 2019/20 season.
