Tottenham must not allow Arsenal to sign long-term target Hwang Hee-chan

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on South Korean attacker Hwang Hee-chan. The Daily Mail is reporting that the Gunners, as well as Crystal Palace, are keeping tabs on the Red Bull Salzburg player after his impressive display against Liverpool in the Champions League.

He scored in that game to continue an explosive start to the new season. Hwang has seven goals and 10 assists from 11 games this season and Arsenal are therefore right to be scouting the 23-year-old.

But Tottenham Hotspur must not let their North London rivals secure his signature.

Spurs have had Hwang on their radar for much longer than Arsenal.

Last summer, Standard Sport reported that Tottenham had been impressed with Hwang on Salzburg’s run to the Europa League semi-finals.

They claimed he was now on Tottenham’s radar, after striking up a friendship with countryman Heung-min Son.

Instead, Hwang headed to 2.Bundesliga side Hamburg and suffered a difficult campaign season, largely down to niggling injury problems.

Tottenham need freshening up in attack and if Hwang could become half as successful as Son has at the club then he would be a big hit. Hopefully, they do not let Arsenal sneak in and snap up this long-term target.
