Tottenham Hotspur could yet lose Serge Aurier, with the transfer window still open for foreign teams to do business.

As reported by The Sun, the defender has interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and The Daily Mail say the Ivorian has informed teammates of his desire to leave the club.

During his time at the club he has failed to establish himself as a regular, with Kieran Trippier having played the majority of games.

The England international has now departed, but Aurier still has competition in the form of youngster Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth who can fill in.

There’s every chance he could go before the closure of the French window on September 2 – and if that happens Spurs should definitely reignite their interest in Youcef Atal.

Last season the Nice full-back emerged as one of Ligue 1’s best full-backs, and he would make for a very exciting capture by Daniel Levy.

The Telegraph reported on Spurs’ interest in the player back in May, and there were more links from DZ Football last week.

The speedy 23-year-old is tailor-made to play as wing-back, which is a system Mauricio Pochettino sometimes deploys.

Considering Tottenham have a lot of midfielders that like to play more narrow, such as Moussa Sissoko, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Giovani Lo Celso, Atal could be perfect outlet for this Tottenham team.

Many Spurs fans were talking about Atal on social media following the sale of Trippier, so it’s already something a section of the fanbase would like to see.
