Tottenham Hotspur must keep tabs on Borussia Dortmund hitman Paco Alcacer, after the striker scored two more goals for Spain against Wales.
The Barcelona man, on a season-long loan at Westfalenstadion, continued his fine form by hitting a brace against Ryan Giggs’ side.
He shone at the Principality Stadium, and looks so dangerous in and around the penalty box.
After just eight minutes he curled an effort into the corner. At the half hour mark he added a second by way of an impressive volley from 12 yards.
Bild suggest that Dortmund would like to exercise their option to buy the player from Barca, after a fantastic start of seven goals in his first four appearances for the Germans.
Tottenham can’t stand by and watch
One team that could do with another striker is Tottenham.
Harry Kane is the main man for the north Londoners, but he doesn’t have much support from other strikers.
Fernando Llorente offers something different but arguably doesn’t quite have the quality.
Vincent Janssen’s days at the club appear to be very much numbered.
Spurs need someone who can come in and give Kane both support and competition.
Alcacer is a great player who offers many great qualities in attack.
Remarkably, the player has scored seven goals for the Germans despite starting just one game. He has had eight shots and target for club and country and scored with all of them.
If the reports that Dortmund are to try and sign him permanently are true, then Spurs must throw their hat into the ring.
They need someone of his quality as back up, or even as a partner for Kane.
