Tottenham must act on Man United's fire sale to enforce midfield

Tottenham need to jump on rumoured Man United clearout.

It’s been rumoured that Manchester United will be set to make a number of January sales.

Tottenham Hotspur should be on high alert if this is to happen.

The Lilywhites could be set to strike and take some bargains off of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s hands.

According to reports, both Jesse Lingard and Donny Van de Beek are two of seven who could leave Manchester in January.

Both of the players could massively boost Tottenham’s chances of a successful season.

The Spurs midfield needs a minor revamp.

In Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg the Lilywhites have some serious talent.

However, they miss a real link player to knit together the midfield and the attack.

That’s where the likes of Jesse Lingard could come in.

An imperious attacking midfielder, Lingard can be a real goal threat when given regular game time.

For West Ham he was amazing, and there are signs that Van de Beek can be the same with regular minutes.

For Ajax Van de Beek was amazing, scoring and assisting 75 goals combined from midfield in 175 games for the Dutch side.

The pair would make a fantastic duo at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Both of them will be looking for an Old Trafford exit and Spurs will be looking to steal them on the cheap.

Manchester United will be reluctant to allow them to leave cheap.

Daniel Levy is one of the best negotiators in football, though.

If he can help secure the double signing then Spurs would have a great chance of making this year a success.

Trophies are the aim of the game and with a bolstered midfield, a Carabao Cup or Conference League title is attainable.
