The Sun are reporting that Tottenham are confident that Moussa Sissoko will be back playing before the end of the 2019/20 campaign and that has delighted supporters on Twitter.

Sissoko hasn’t played since New Year’s Day limping off during the same game that Harry Kane also picked up his injury.

The Frenchman has proved to be a utility man for Spurs in the last season or so and that versatility has been a loss to Jose Mourinho’s team.

After joining Tottenham from Newcastle for £30 million back in 2016, he has finally won the fans over, making 151 appearances for the club.

Spurs would prefer a striker to be back before Sissoko, although his muscle and experience in midfield is also a useful asset.

Supporters are clearly hoping to see him back quickly and on Twitter, they seem keen for him to put his injury troubles behind him.

Sissoko’s versatility would make him a useful addition to Mourinho’s squad and he had been featuring regularly prior to his injury.

Here is a selection of tweets from Tottenham supporters who have been responding on Twitter to the news that Sissoko is stepping up his comeback.
