2012-13 – Baggies best start in four years

West Brom’s start to the current Premier League campaign has been their best since 2012/13, with their tally of 29 points from 20 games being the second-highest in the club’s history.

Much of this is down to the influential Matt Phillips, who has been directly involved in eleven goals across his last ten Premier League appearances with four goals and seven assists – only Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne (9) has more assists this season than Phillips (8).

For a point of comparison, in his 44 Championship appearances last season for Queens Park Rangers Phillips only managed five assists, and the 25-year-old will undoubtedly be key again on Saturday.
