Tottenham’s under-23s won 3-2 against Wolves yesterday with Troy Parrott, Jeremie Mukendi and Maurizio Pochettino all getting on the scoresheet.
Renat Dadashov’s brace made it a nervy finish for the youngsters but Spurs did at least manage some retribution on Wolves for their defeat at first-team level on Sunday.
Pochettino scored his first goal of the 2019/20 campaign and then took to Instagram to dedicate his goal to his dad and former Tottenham boss Mauricio.

The young winger has been in and out of the team this season for the under-23 ranks and it remains to be seen what the future holds.
At 18 he still has plenty of developing to do and he has a contract until 2022 at Tottenham to try and fulfil his potential.
The Argentine will hope to make the grade and if he continues to develop in the coming years there’s no reason why he can’t.
His dad leaving the club after losing his job will have naturally hurt. Pochettino Snr departed in November, sacked after five years in charge of the club.

He had led Tottenham to the Champions League Final last season and was perhaps cruelly sacked by Daniel Levy.
It was a nice touch for his son to dedicate last night’s goal to his dad on his 48th birthday.
The gesture might have seen some Spurs fans offered an unwelcome reminder of the good times, with Jose Mourinho currently in a bit of a rut on the pitch.
It will be interesting to see how Pochettino Jnr progresses on the pitch and Tottenham fans would surely love to see him step up to the first team at some point.
