Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has told BBC Sport that he isn’t in control of transfers at the football club.
Spurs have broken their transfer record this summer with the £63 million signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
The Argentine boss responded in a moody manner when quizzed on the future of Danny Rose after yesterday’s 1-0 Audi Cup win over Real Madrid.

He told BBC Sport: “Sell, buy players, sign contract – I think it is not in my hands, it’s in the club’s hands and Daniel Levy.
“The club needs to change my title and description. Of course, I am the boss deciding the strategic play, but in another area, I don’t know. Today, I feel like I am the coach.
“I am only coaching them and trying to get the best from them.”
This news along with Pochettino’s clear frustration at the situation isn’t good news for Tottenham supporters.
The manager, or head coach, has worked wonders since arriving at in North London.
Spurs are now regulars in the Champions League and last season reached the final where they were defeated by Liverpool.

It is fair to suggest that Pochettino doesn’t want his team to get left behind their rivals. This rant certainly indicates that he would have liked a few more player to arrive this summer.
