Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho praises Wolves attacker Adama Traore

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has picked out Adama Traore as a serious threat from upcoming opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs host Wolves on Sunday in a Premier League fixture, as two teams trying to chase down a top four spot clash in London.

The North London outfit recorded a 2-1 away win at Molineux earlier in the season during the previous meeting with Wolves and would love a repeat result.

Spurs go into the weekend’s fixture off the back of back-to-back defeats to Chelsea and RB Leipzig in the league and Champions League respectively.

They now come up against a Wolves team that qualified for the last 16 of the Europa League in midweek and raise their game against the top teams usually.

“He’s very difficult to stop. If you want to stop a sprint with him you forget it, you have no chance,” Mourinho said, as quoted by the club’s official Youtube account.

“You cannot think about him as an individual, you have to think about him as a whole. Of course he’s very, very difficult to stop. He’s so fast and so fast and powerful that he’s very difficult to stop. He had a great evolution with Nuno {Espirito Santo] in the past couple of seasons, in this moment he’s a better player.”

TBR’s View:

Traore has blistering pace that arguably no defender in the world can match and that’s why Spurs need to be completely switched on at the back against him.

The 24-year-old right-winger will be such a danger in behind, but on top of that his end product has improved massively this campaign and he looks a top player.

He scored in the previous fixture against Spurs this season and could hold the key to the weekend’s fixture.
