Giovani Lo Celso has continued his impressive loan spell at Villarreal with another impressive display, this time against Valencia.

The Tottenham loanee helped his side to a 2-0 home win over one of the clubs his manager Unai Emery used to be in charge of.

He was replaced on 70 minutes, to a standing ovation, with the whole crowd signing his name, with the game won by half-time.

He also had the fans singing his name on a night where he did not get a goal or an assist but clearly caught the eye of the fans.

Some Spurs fans may be hoping these displays add money to his market value for when the summer rolls around.

Others may hope that he can bring this form to Tottenham, who need a creative midfielder but there are question marks over whether he can do it in England.

Lo Celso has the chance to try and knock Liverpool out of the Champions League, and what a story that would be for the Argentine.

Emery’s men currently sit seventh in La Liga, so they are on the back foot in terms of trying to get a European place next season.

They will be looking at that chance to make the Champions League final as the crunch clash of their season and it seems Lo Celso’s form could hardly be much better.
