Tottenham loanee Kazaiah Sterling should be worried for future after Sunderland spell

Kazaiah Sterling has been a highly-rated striker rising through the Tottenham ranks in recent years and has been tipped to become a future first-team star.

The 20-year-old has made two senior appearances for Spurs and was presented with a huge opportunity in January when he joined Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.

He made the temporary to the Stadium of Light in the New Year and has the opportunity to make his first real mark at senior level.

Sunderland care competing for promotion in League One this campaign and needed extra attacking ammunition in January to their squad.

But Sterling has been unbale to make a serious difference under Sunderland manager Jack Ross and fallen out of favour.

Sterling has made just one appearance for Sunderland so far and that was of the bench against AFC Wimbledon back in February.

The English centre-forward can’t get into the 18-man matochday squad as it stands and it’s a steep learning curve for him.

It seems highly unlikely that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will have been to impressed by the striker’s loan and if he isn’t ready for a role in League One football than Premier League action must still be someway off.

Spurs are certainly willing to give their youngsters a chance, but Sterling could really do with showing in the next few months that he can have a future with them.
