Jermaine Jenas recently gave high praise to Renato Sanches, who is now receiving links with Tottenham.
According to Le10 Sport, Spurs have are interested in the potential signature of the 23-year-old Lille man. The midfielder is also reportedly wanted by Barcelona
In addition, 90min has mentioned Arsenal’s interest in him.
Sanches has rebuilt his reputation in the past couple of seasons with French club Lille after joining them from Bayern Munich.
The box-to-box central midfielder caught the eye this summer at Euro 2020 in the Portugal side, with Spurs-supporting pundit Jenas hailing him after a performance against France in the group stages.
“He has been terrific. He has definitely added a lot to that midfield that they were missing the other night against the Germans,” Jenas told BBC One (9:49pm, 23 June).
“You have to give him a lot of credit. A lot of people here in England saw what the player went through when he was at Swansea, a hugely low place, the way he has rebuilt himself back to up to where he is now on the world stage shows he has got a lot of character.”

Sanches could be great option in Tottenham midfield
Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo has the basis of a great squad, but looks a few bodies short of really meeting the clubs ambitions.
He’s enjoyed major success working with Portuguese players in the past, so bringing some to Spurs looks predictable.
It didn’t quite happen in the Premier League during a brief loan spell with Swansea City for Sanches in the past. However, he’s developed tenfold since.
He’s an all-action central midfielder that could add some extra aggression and guile to the north London club.
In addition, he’s had a seal of approval from Spurs fan and their ex-midfielder Jenas.
