Tottenham linked with £18m star that Jermaine Jenas said last year has a ‘raw element’ to his game
Tottenham are being linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore, who’s someone that received high praise from Jermaine Jenas last year.
Ex-Spurs midfielder and current pundit Jenas previously labelled him as a unique talent due to his qualities on the pitch.
The Wolves attacker has the kind of speed, strength and directness that makes life a nightmare for opposition defences.
“We love the trickery from midfield, the pace, the power, the raw element to his game,” Jenas said in June 2020.
Jenas, who supports Spurs, is one of numerous pundits to lavish praise on the Wolves winger. However, there is still so much room for improvement.
Wolves are reportedly willing to let the Spain international leave, but it would take a fee of around £45million to take him from Molineux.
Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who managed at Wolves for four seasons, may still get the option of reuniting with former player Traore.
Rawness of Adama Traore would make him risky Tottenham signing
It’s unclear on whether or not Spurs are willing to make a move for Traore, but if they do it’ll come with a big element or risk.
The right-winger seems unplayable when he brings his A-game to the party. Also, he’s got an effortless ability to dribble past defenders like they don’t exist.
However, end product is a problem.
He managed just three goals and three assists across all competitions last season. His 2019/2020 campaign was much stronger with six goals and 12 assists.
