Long term Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo has penned a new deal at AS Roma.
The young midfielder is highly coveted, but has seemingly put an end to speculation over his future by agreeing a contract that will tie him down until 2024.
Zaniolo made 36 appearances last term and scored six goals, and caught the eye with his impressive box-to-box style.

The 20-year-old will now be hoping to steer Roma back into the Champions League after the club missed out last season.
The development could come as a blow for Spurs, who have been frequently linked with a move for the exciting Italian.
It was reported last month by Corriere dello Sport that Spurs had offered Roma £21 million plus Toby Alderweireld for the player, but nothing ever came of the link.
TBR’s view
Zaniolo’s new contract essentially means Roma are now in a very strong position to demand big money for the starlet.

If Spurs are still interested in the player, then he will now cost a fortune to prise away from the Stadio Olimpico given his status as one of Europe’s most promising young talents.
Thankfully for them they were able to get Tanguy Ndombele over the line this summer, which somewhat softens the blow of Zaniolo agreeing fresh terms.
