Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly rivalling Manchester United for Parma attacker Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the January transfer window after an excellent start to the 2019-20 campaign – but he may have just worked himself out of a move.
Tuttosport now claim that Tottenham and Manchester United are keen to sign Kulusevski – as are Italian duo Inter Milan and Juventus. Kulusevski is on loan at Parma from Champions League side Atalanta, who rate the 19-year-old at £38.5million.
He has had a hand in eight goals during his 14 Parma appearances this season, scoring three times and creating five more. He has even earned his first Sweden cap, and is regarded as one of the most exciting Serie A talents around.
Indeed, a move to Spurs and the chance to work with Jose Mourinho will surely be a tantaslising prospect for Kulusevski. However, he claimed that he supported Swedish side Hammarby and Spurs rivals Chelsea – which may put Spurs fans off him.
TBR’s view – £38.5m is a bargain for someone of Kulusevski’s talent
The young Swedish star has taken Serie A by storm. His power and speed from out wide if combined with creativity, an eye for goal and plenty of trickery that allows him to create and score himself in equal measure.
To have such impressive stats in a difficult league such as the Serie A that prides itself on defence before attack, is very impressive. So for £38.5million, he would be a bargain for Spurs. Would being a Chelsea fan put them off?
Well, they’ve just hired a Chelsea icon in Mourinho.
